GRO Gel is Dali’s Builder gel - a nail enhancement product designed to add strength and/or extension to the nail, building up your original nails for a thicker and healthier appearance.
This has a higher viscosity than regular gel polish, providing a protective layer for the nail's surface. A builder gel can be worn alone or as a base product to a gel polish.
GRO Gel is our builder gel and can be removed the same way
as many builder gels, using a soaking or filing method.
To soak your GRO Gel Xpress nails off, apply acetone to a cotton pad, then apply it to your nail and seal it with nail foil. Allow this to sit for 10-15 minutes. Once the time is up, gently remove with a cuticle
pusher as you would with any builder gel.
For GRO Gel (non-soak), you will need to use the filing method. Use a coarse nail file or an electric file to remove the builder gel layer by layer, avoiding damage to your natural nail.
Begin by pushing back the cuticles with a cuticle pusher, then etch the surface of the nails with a 180 grit file. Use a primer on the nails before the applying the product. GRO Gel (builder gel) will then need a layer of base coat next and cure for 60 seconds in a LED lamp.
GRO Gel Xpress does not need a layer of base coat as it is included in the product.
Then, apply a thin layer of GRO Gel/GRO Gel Xpress like you would any builder gel and cure for 30 seconds. Next apply another thin layer of your chosen builder gel and leave uncured (slip layer) in preparation for building.
Our builder gel (GRO Gel) can be applied using the method previously listed. However, once you have finished shaping the nails, coloured gel polish is commonly applied over the nails for a more decorative finish.
Yes, builder gel can add length to your nails. GRO Gel is commonly used with nail forms or tips to extend the natural nail. After applying a form or tip, the builder gel is applied to the nail and sculpted to create the desired length and shape, then cured to harden for a durable finish.
All of our GRO Gel products are Hema-free – making them a great choice of builder gel to use. If you have had allergic reactions to products containing hema, our Hema-free GRO Gel ranges are perfect for creating a stunning look for your nails without compromising your health.
